Course overview

In this course, Dr. Fuerst will review the diagnosis and management of chronic kidney disease in dogs and cats.

Course Objectives

  • Develop an understanding of the utility and interpretation of renal diagnostics.
  • Review staging of chronic kidney disease.
  • Evaluate the rationale for dietary therapy.
  • Construct a working knowledge of the management of hypertension and proteinuria.
  • Become familiar with indications for darbepoetin, ACE inhibition, and calcitriol.
